Danny Masseling (Almere, 20 June 1981) is a Dutch hardcore musician and dj. His stage name is Angerfist. Danny also produces for other genres under the aliases: Kid Morbid, Bloodcage, Denekamp's Scum, Roland & Sherman and Menace II Society. He is also in the group 'The Floor Crushers', and 'The Supreme Team' (With Outblast, Tha Playah & Evil Activities). He decided that Angerfist was his head project though.Masseling started his career in 2001, after becoming a demo to DJ Buzz Fuzz, Director of BZRK Records posted. Buzz liked the tape and signed Danny, who was then his first EP under the name Menace II Society and Angerfist brought out. Masseling knew soon any respect in the gabberscene because of the aggressive nustyle music he made. His style is characterized by hard bass drums and bright doordreunende strokes that even within the hardcore extreme: obscure but accessible. He already has some hardcore hits to his name, including: "Criminally Insane", "Raise Your Fist" and "The World Will Shiver". The dj also goes along with the ever-wilder hardcore scene: his tracks are getting faster and harder over the years; tracks like "Stainless Steel", "The Fast Lane" and "Jesus" are much harder than earlier numbers such as "Fuck Off" and "Maniac Killa". Angerfist is similarly becoming increasingly known and the demand for his music grows. Because of this, he was allowed into The Anthem (the theme song) for Masters of Hardcore. With the song "The World will Shiver" he had much impact in the Hardcore scene.Danny Masseling has also been on many large parties and concerts. Such as: Sensation Black, Thunderdome, Defqon. 1, Mysteryland, The Voice of Mayhem, Dominator andMasters of Hardcore events.Live acts of Angerfist often feature video pictures. He often performs with his friends. Angerfist Goalie Jason, just on with ice hockey masks. These white masks are derived from the horror movie Friday the 13th, in which killer Jason Voorhees is wearing an ice hockey mask. The samples from the songs of Angerfist from bits of rap of Eminem, small pieces of anime as The Rock, Goodfellas and Full Metal Jacket and the horror-film Underworld. These samples from Underworld are used in the song Broken Chain that together with Crucifier was created. Also "Take You Back" is a case in point: Angerfist took out the sentence "we're here to take you back with us" from a 20-year old anime movie called Akira.
